Change is never easy. If bringing about positive change in our community were simple we would not be needed.
This world can beat us down – but only if we let it. Our community has suffered. It has suffered great losses, great setbacks and great challenges. This leaves a community feeling like there is little they can do, that there is never a good time to start something new, that they need to wait for a better time to start.
If we do not start it, who will? If we do not bring change, who will? If we wait for a better time how will we know the time has come?
Changing the world is not a job for everyone, if anyone could just do it – you would not be needed.
You are the chosen few; the few who see the hope in a new idea; the few that see the spark that will start a fire; the few that see the need and the idea that will help a community regain some of it’s sense of purpose and being.
Are there times when we think it may be too much? Yes. Are there times when we are afraid? Yes. Are there times when it seems overwhelming? Yes. These are all signs that we are doing something, trying something, starting something that has never been done before. These are signs that we are on the right track to make change. And remember change is never easy.
