So I’m trying to wind down for the evening so that I can go to bed early to get up at 4am and drive to the Windsor airport to catch a flight to Boston. I’m on my way to Camp Belknap and Director’s Camp.
I first attended Director’s Camp in 2010 – the first year they ran it. It is a camp weekend for camp directors run by three great camp presenters – Scott Arizala, Steve Maguire and Chris Thurber. It was a great opportunity to meet other camp director’s from across North America. It was a great opporutnity to relax after the summer, get ideas early enough to put them in place for the next summer and a time to reflect on the power of summer camp.
I go to most conferences with very little expectations. I want to leave my mind open to let the learning come to me. What I need to learn is what I will learn.
I love travel days, such a different state of mind when you are sitting and waiting in airports…
