I took part in a great experiment of crafting, brought to us through Dudecraft . The premise was this – send in your information and three things about yourself and Dudecraft would pair us up with others and we would make a craft for someone and someone would make a craft for us. It sounded like a cool idea – so I signed up.
I was given the name of a lady in Fort Collins, Colorado and was told details that she had shared. I had a difficult time picking a craft to make for her – one that fit the Dudecraft thought process, but in the end the information that she shared about herself showed someone who had many dreams and wishes and plans – so I came up with this craft sign:
After I sent if off I got a box in the mail from a gentleman in Alabama with a birdhouse in it:
It was a great pleasure to make something for someone who I know only three things about. It is an interesting way to create something and set if free into the world…
