If we sell what we do correctly, they will come – or maybe not…

So one of the things we hear a lot in the camping world is that new immigrant populations just don’t come to camp because they don’t understand the benefit.  This is an interesting article that highlights this is not the only challenge that we face.

A major shift in thinking is called a paradigm shift – I think this is where we are at in camping.  We need to move away from the thought that the product we offer is enough, we need to rethink what summer camp is, we need to re-invent summer camp.

The danger is that people are afraid of change.
