Culture is such a hard thing to define, especially summer camp culture. It is one thing to tell people that your camp has a great culture. It is another thing to create the atmosphere that ensures that your camp culture is solid, whether you are there or not to see it.

Summer Camp culture starts at the top – with the director. The personality of the director really determines the success or failure of the camp culture. Do we, as camp directors, understand this?
